Jamie Benton, MSW is a member of the Littleton Hospital Palliative Care team and also a resource to Mile High Oncology. She is available to provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families. She also provides guidance in identifying a variety of resources as patients and families transition through their cancer experience.
She graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies and a Master's Degree in Medical Social Work. She is also certified in trauma response and recovery. She has spent her most recent years working on the western slope of Colorado, where she had a large role in developing oncology psychosocial support services and resources for rural communities. Other efforts include establishing a continuum of care for oncology patients as they transition through the phases of illness including treatment, palliative care and hospice care.
